Guide to Email

What it is...

Each student is given a free student email account.  You can access your College email from on- or off-campus, whereever you have an Internet connection. 

When it's available...

24/7 except during scheduled system maintenances and rare outages.

How to use it...

Logging In

Just log in with the same username and password you use to log into the College network.  Your student e-mail address is: YourUserName@clasnet.sunyocc.edu

Auto-Forward your Student email

You can have all email that is sent to your student email account automatically forwarded to an account(s) of your choosing.  

1. Log into your email account.
2. Select “Options” from the menu bar at the top of the page
3. Select “Mail Forwarding Options” in the lower right hand corner
4. Fill in the email address(es) that you want emails forwarded to (double check for typos – if you type it incorrectly, your emails will be lost)
5. Press the submit button

The Helpdesk is available if you need assistance in setting up auto-forwarding on your account. 

Need Help Using Email?

Student email has Help information built right into it. 

• On any page, just click Help at the top of the page and you'll get assistance for the page you're on. 
• There's also a Table of Contents showing you all the topics such as how to compose a new message, organize your mail into folders, search for a message, and using the address book.
