The CAL Center assists students in gaining hands-on experience to complement their academic studies, and provides students, graduates and alumni cutomized employment services to assist them in marketing themselves to potential employers and transfer schools.
Applied learning experiences include job shadowing, informational interviews, internships, service-learning placements, and volunteer opportunities.
Employment services for students, graduates and alumni include resources and assistance with resume and cover letter writing, job searching and interview preparation.
The CAL Center maintains an on-line career information system, CALink, which allows students and alumni to search for local jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities, upload their resume and other job search documents and receive feedback from a CAL Center Coordinator, browse online career resources, research local employers, check out upcoming CAL Center events and more!
The CAL Center also sponsors a variety of career related events each semester including job & Internship fairs, volunteer fairs, workshops, employer campus visitations, employer panels, etc.
