About Us

The OCC Office of Student Leadership and Engagement provides support for Student Clubs and Organizations, the Student Government Association, the Lazer Lounge (student recreation center), student leadership development, and campus-wide activities. The Student Associations the official representative of the student body, as designated by the OCC Board of Trustees. The Office of Student Leadership and Engagement is the 'hub' of information for all students, located in G114 in the Gordon Student Center Building on the main campus.  OSLE also sponsors trips open to all students, offers discounted tickets to students for local entertainment and education, and brings speakers and other events to campus!  Stop by OSLE for more details.

What is the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement's purpose?

The basic purpose is:

  • To broaden the educational, cultural, and social experiences of OCC students
  • To provide a central organization common to all other OCC student organizations
  • To support all campus-wide activities sponsored by the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement
  • To provide all students of Onondaga Community College with a means of access to the functions and affairs of the college
  • To integrate student activities into the larger mission of the college
