The philosophy that guides the experiences teachers plan for the children is based upon the belief that children learn when they are given ample opportunities for observation, exploration and discovery.
The activities for children include a balance of active/quiet play, small/large group, indoor/outdoor, child initiated/teacher directed. Indoor playrooms allow the children opportunities to build large motor skills regardless of outside weather conditions. The outdoor playground is nature based and allows children to practice large motor skills while observing and learning about seasonal changes in the environment. Children also have the opportunity to explore art and cultural experiences that are a greatly integrated part of Onondaga Community College.
Scholarships may be available for students who meet eligibility guidelines, these reduce the cost of child care. Please call 498-2346 for information about tuition subsidies.
