REQUIRED: Criminal Justice majors This LLC brings students together who are interested in the fields of Criminal Justice (CRJ) and Law Enforcement. Students will be provided with a mentor, along with opportunities to interact with professionals who are currently in the field. Students in the CRJ program will be given preference, and first year participants will be asked to register for CRJ 101. This community is open to new students.
REQUIRED MAJORS: Photography, Art, Interior Design, OR Architecture This LLC brings students together who are studying art, photography, architecture, and interior design. This community provides an environment that encourages students to generate and pursue creative and new ideas. Students will participate in gallery visits, creative activities, etc. This LLC is open to new & returning students.
INTEREST: Involvement on campus This LLC is for residents interested in developing their leadership potential. This active community connects students to opportunities to get involved on campus and learning about themselves as a leader. This community is open to new & returning students.
REQUIRED: Members of OCC Athletic Teams This LLC is for residents who are a part of one of OCC’s athletic teams. This community strengthens relationships with fellow teammates and between members of various sports teams. This community is open to new & returning students.
MAJORS ENCOURAGED: Business & Business Technology This LLC is focused for students interested in the field of business and learning how to develop their networking skills. Any resident interested in business related concepts are welcome, and business majors are encouraged to participate in this community. This community is open to returning students!
INTEREST: LGBTQ+ awareness REQUIRED: Students must complete an additional application. This LLC is an open community for individuals looking to share a living environment with others regardless of gender identity. This community will foster a safe, respectful, inclusive living environment focusing on LGBTQ+ awareness. All are welcome to participate and be an ALLY. Please note an additional application process is required before approval into the community. This community is open to returning students.
INTEREST: 24/7 "quiet hours" This LLC brings students together who are interested in living with individuals who prefer a quieter housing setting. Participants in this community, promote an environment of quiet living and no excessive noise 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This community is open to new & returning students.
REQUIRED: Students accepted in OCC’s Honors Program This LLC is for students participating in the Honors Program at OCC. Being a part of this community is a great way to live with peers who have a similar academic drive and ambition. Students living in this community must meet the academic criteria for the Honors Program. This community is open to new & returning students.
REQUIRED: 12 credits minimum AND 3.0 cumulative GPA This LLC brings students together who are academic achievers. This community will focus on connecting students with academic support to continue their academic success. Students must have registered for 12 credits and must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA after their first semester. This community is open to new students.
MAJORS ENCOURAGED: Physical Education & Exercise Science, Physical Therapist Assistant This LLC brings students together who are interested in living a healthy and active lifestyle. Students will participate in programs that cultivate a little healthy competition. This community is open to new & returning students.
INTEREST: community service and engagement in Syracuse community Students will participate in Conversation Circle Dialogues. Students will be encouraged to enroll in COM 220 if it fits in curriculum. This LLC is open to all residents who have an interest in working together to make a difference in the campus and local community. Students will get involved in service projects and initiatives both on and off campus. This community is open to new students.
REQUIRED: Music majors This LLC brings students together who are Music majors. This community provides the opportunity for students to pursue their musical interest beyond the classroom. Students will have the opportunity to engage in programs, concerts, and performances both on and off campus. This community is open to new & returning students.

INTEREST: Community Standards and Activism Students will be encouraged to enroll is COM 220 if it fits in curriculumStudents enrolled in this LLC have a passion for cultivating social change, discussing controversial topics, and advocating for political action. Students in this community may be interested in topics such as institutional racism, access to education, access to health care, poverty and other constantly changing topics. This community is open to new students.
INTEREST: Science, Math, Engineering and Technology This LLC brings students together who are interested in pursuing a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Students in this community will connect with faculty and professionals in the STEM fields through programs, lectures, and seminars. This community is open to new & returning students.
