What is needed to process your transcript?

A completed transcript request form with your signature is required to process your transcript request or an electronic request using your WebAccess account. Additionally, SUNY policy and State law prohibits release of a transcript if you have any outstanding financial obligation to Onondaga Community College.

Why is your signature required?

To protect your right of privacy and the confidentiality of your transcript. Your signature is required by Federal Law to authorize the release of your transcript. A parent, spouse or domestic partner may not receive your transcript without your signed release. This is why a phone call, e-mail, or third party request cannot be accepted.

How much does it cost?

Onondaga charges $10 per transcript

Request in person?

Fill out the Request Form at the Student Accounts Office or Student Central.

Requests by phone?

Phone and fax requests are not accepted. All transcript requests must have a valid signature of the individual.

Does Onondaga send electronic, faxed or emailed transcripts?

At present, Onondaga cannot provide electronic transcripts.  All transcripts are sent in official sealed envelopes on official Onondaga transcript paper.

Students are responsible for shipping arrangements and charges for this additional service. Contact Student Central at (315)498-2000 for further details

How long will it take for the transcript to be mailed?

Normal processing time is 4 business days from the date of receipt of the transcript request form and payment. During end of term grading /degree conferral periods, the processing time may increase to three weeks.

Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974

The release of a student's grades or transcript requires the student's written authorization unless otherwise allowed by law. State law prohibits the release of transcripts if money is owed

Pursuant to the Student Debt Obligation/Bankruptcy and Statute of Limitations (Section 302.1(j) Title B, Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations of the State of New York and issued by Counsel on December 20, 1977: Students with outstanding obligations to the College are denied transcript service, readmission and grades. If a student has a financial hold, the request will be returned to the student. The transcript(s) will not be forwarded until the obligation is satisfied.
