How to Get Help
Come to the Learning Center in the Gordon Student Center, Suite G202, to make an appointment or stop in anytime.

Do You Need Ongoing Tutoring?
A student may arrange to work with a tutor on a regular basis each week of the semester. The tutor will help with individual study skill difficulties or specific reading problems.
Do You Need Just Minor Help?
You may make appointments for short-term help in one or two areas. For example, if you have problems taking biology lecture notes or reading a psychology text, you may work with a tutor for just a session or two. The tutor will help you deal with your immediate needs and give you practical advice.
Want to Move at Your Own Pace?
The Study Skills Center also has a series of workshops available on videotape. Come in and check out the titles.
Who Can Use These Services?
Any OCC student. Full or part-time. Day or Evening.
Do I Pay Extra?
No, not if you are a full-time OCC student. Part timers pay only if they register for equivalent credit (RDG 093L, 087L or 099).
Who Works in the SSC?
Professional Tutors trained to spot reading and study problems, and work with you to find solutions for Social Sciences, Science, Business, etc.
Where is the SSC?
At the Learning Center located in the Gordon Student Center, Suite G202.
