Overview
Financial aid is available in the form of grants, loans, and employment. All students applying for financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and the New York state Express TAP Application (ETA). These applications must be filed annually. The FAFSA may be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students who meet New York State residency requirements and have listed Onondaga Community College when filing the FAFSA electronically will automatically be given a link on the FAFSA website in order to complete the (ETA). You can get an early estimate of your eligibility for federal student aid by going to www.fafsa4caster.ed.gov.
For those who prefer to file on paper, forms are available at Student Central. For further information, contact the Financial Aid office.
Students who do not have the necessary funds available at the time tuition is due may qualify for a tuition deferral. Information is available at Student Central. The Financial Aid office also administers two types of short-term loan programs, both of which have a limited source of funds.
