Academic Advisement

Academic Advisement

The Counseling Department informs matriculated students about academic advisement. In most cases, faculty advisors teach in areas closely related to a student’s academic or career goals. The advisor assists in course selection and is available throughout the semester for consultation. An appointment can be made with an advisor during regularly scheduled office hours. Although advisors are available to help, it is the students ultimate responsibility to pursue the courses which fulfill graduation requirements.

Non-matriculated students are advised as needed by Counseling faculty. Counselors are available daily on a drop-in basis in the Counseling department. Appointments are needed for evenings.
