Medical Leave
If a student is on a temporary leave of absence (less than one week) due to a medical circumstance, the Office of Student Life & Development will attempt to notify the student's instructors via electronic mail. However, it is the student's ultimate responsibility to contact each instructor to obtain missed homework and assignments and to withdraw any courses they will not be able to complete.
If a student needs to withdraw from the entire semester due to a medical circumstance, Student Life & Development will attempt to notify the student's instructors via electronic mail. Student Life & Development will notify Certification & Records and the instructors of the student's intent to withdraw once documentation is received.
Students can apply for a medical leave and tuition waivers/refunds by completing a Medical Leave and Tuition Waiver/Refund Application. Applications must be received by Student Life & Development according to the following schedule:
- Fall semester - received on or before May 31
- Spring semester - received on or before September 1
- All Summer terms - received on or before December 31
