Specializations

A specialization is an option for students to explore a specific academic area of interest within their academic program. Currently, there are nine academic programs at OCC that contain specializations. 
 

A listing of the specializations for these programs can be found listed below or in the College Catalog at sunyocc.edu. If you know which specialization you plan to pursue, please inform us by one the following methods:

• Complete the online form.
• Complete the printed form and send the form via email to declare@sunyocc.edu.
• Print the form and submit it to Student Central.
• Email declare@sunyocc.edu  with your name, student ID and specialization.

If you haven’t chosen your specialization yet, we strongly encourage you to discuss your educational and career plans with your academic advisor. Determining your specialization in your degree program will help you as you plan your future course work toward degree completion.
